[Obviously, someone has been practicing. When the feed kicks on, it's a properly framed picture of one Jack Frost. He's set up camp in the woods fringing Cherrygrove City with a good view of the beach and a frolicking Seel in the background behind him. He also looks more cheerful and less confused than last time.

Oh, and the egg in his lap. That's new, too.]

So, everyone was awesome about answering my questions last time, now I've got more of them.

Cherrygrove is nice. Been here a couple days, now. [He gestures over his shoulder.] You can tell Phil likes it. Kind of got lost on the way here, yeah, yeah, I know it's a straight line, okay, and Phil is about as slow as slow can be, but now that I'm here, I've got this guy. [He pokes at the egg. It's blue and white and people in the know might recognize it as a Pachirisu egg. Jack is not in the know.] Or girl. How do you tell?

For that matter, what do I do with it? Am I supposed to keep it warm? Someone mentioned a deal for new people just showing up, and that's totally me, so I, uh... just kind of hit buttons until I saw something that sounded good, but now I'm thinking that wasn't the best idea?

[He takes a second to glance over his shoulder, probably to make sure his Seel hadn't been eaten by a shark in the last few minutes or anything. If nothing else, this place seems to be teaching him a really strange sense of responsibility. If only Bunny could see him now.

He resettles, placing the gear on the ground in front of him so it can pick up a full body shot, including the sneakers he wasn't wearing before.]

Okay, second question, and... I know how crazy this sounds, but at least some of you weren't human before getting here, right? Pretty sure I've met one already. [Again, unless Thor's parents had some ridiculous delusions of grandeur.] So the question is- how do you stand it? Not the being here, that's turning out pretty cool, but the rest of it. All the getting hungry, and tired, and walking everywhere, not to mention buying stuff. Am I gonna have to get a- [shudder] -job?

[hadn't realize Jack only thought he was dressed as himself, not actually himself, so he holds back a laugh]

Yeah, I am, though I get the feeling I'm more legend in most people's home worlds.

[actually he's a comic or movie or whatever, but no one has clarified for him yet, he just drew a conclusion that made sense to him. It doesn't bother him]

[Snicker. Jack waves a little when he finds himself being scrutinized by a fish. A really overgrown fish, but...]

Nothing wrong with being a legend. [Some of his best friends were legends... sort of.] Anyway, I dunno. The kids talk about you all the time. You're pretty popular, whatever you are.

I mean, you've got posters.

Safe, I can do. Warm... [He laughs. Suppose he should be grateful he's not technically a frost spirit, anymore.] Guess I'll do my best. Thanks.

[PFFT Jack.]

Oh! So you mean, you became a spirit, back home? [ZOMBIES NO COMPUTE, but being a spirit, an immortal being she gets. That's not weird at all.] The walking does take a while to get used to. I mean, I can't fly back home or anything, but my friends and I were pretty used to traveling by sky bison.

[Someone who understaaaaaaaaandsssssssssss.]

I know, right? I think I might have a list.

Yes! [Give the girl a kewpie doll! Right on the nose!]

...Wait. Sky bison?

What did you used to do, if you didn't have a job?

[AND IF YOU WEREN'T HUMAN, APPARENTLY.]

He knows how to fetch and he's a great swimmer. A friend of mine has a flying-type big enough to ride on as well. You can imagine how much travel time that saves.

[Awww yis! She will gladly take that prize. Also these two should be friends.]

I've only met a few back home, the moon spirit, ocean spirit, a river guardian, and the guardian of knowledge. Is it the same in your world?

[Ahaha, oh how does one describe Appa, exactly?]

Yeah, his name is Appa. They're big, with white and brown fur and six legs. They were the first airbenders, so they could fly.

[Another glance back at his Seel, who's now basking on a large rock.]

...I've got a ways to go, huh?

We... don't have anything like that. Not that I've ever met, at least. There's probably plenty I haven't, though. [But you'd think something like a 'sky bison' would end up getting remembered. Right. She asked him a question.]

Anyway. Spirits. Um, kind of? Cause yeah, there's Manny. Man in the Moon. He's not exactly a spirit, though. More of an alien? I don't really get it all, either. The rest of us... [shrug] We're kind of a mixed group.

[Hey, now, being nonhuman is a perfectly legitimate career choice. Totally.]

Snow days. Lots of 'em. 'Course the rest of the time, it depends on who you ask.

[Never ask Bunny. That's always the wrong answer.]

You're telling me. I've been here two and a half years and I'd still give just about anything to have my powers back.

[Now whether that would be a good thing for anyone else is up for debate.]

Maybe whatever brought us here doesn't want us upstaging the wildlife. Which, yeah, the more you train them the the more battles you win, and the more money you earn. It's one of the few things that's actually convenient here. [Yes Jack, join Envy and become the very best! At not working!]

It only sounds like a lot, it really isn't that much. It's just life.

Do you mind if I ask what you were before coming here?

Just a little ways. You've made it to Cherrygrove without breaking your nose, so you've got a step up on me.

Jack Frost. [Introduction and job title all in one. Tada~] The Guardian of Fun. Before that, a winter spirit, and before that, dead, I think.

[Sometimes, he's still a little fuzzy on the timing of the whole 'dying and becoming Jack Frost' thing.]

[So is being British, but that doesn't mean you ain't gonna get some funny looks for it.]

Like who?

You'd think it'd be easy enough to just grab the people they didn't have to take powers away from, you know?

[They should start a club or something.]

[More laughing.]

Right! I remembered about the ledges!

Weeeeeeeell... If you ask me, I'm gonna say making kids' lives awesome and fun. Certain... other people who shall remain nameless, on the other hand, think I exist just to make their lives harder.

...Not that that isn't fun, too.

[See Jack. See Jack be depressed. Be depressed, Jack, be depressed. Why does everything have to come back to North and his presents or Bunny and his eggs? Pout.]

No. Wrong Guardian. Besides, would you rather have presents one day a year, or an awesome snow fort every day for like three months? [Yeah, he thought so.]

[Come on, man, no contest. Also, she loves Santa Claus. And still believes he's real despite being, y'know, in her mid-twenties.]

Wait. Guardian?

[Why doesn't she just rip Jack's heart right out of his chest, then? It's even beating now, so it would mean something.

Although now he hopes he has a front row seat to her meeting North if and when he shows up here.]
