[It's late, and Jack knows it, but he'd made a promise, and he was going to keep it. At least, as well as he could without letting Sho wander out of sight, anyway. He's just hoping Shaun is still awake to pick up.]

What kind of places are we talking about? Like, secret tourist traps and stuff?

[Congratulations, Jack has been completely derailed from his original question.]

Oh, you bet. World's largest Spinarak string ball, world's biggest collection of Farfetch'd leeks...there's a lot of 'em around.

[He leans in close to the 'Gear like he's telling some sort of secret.]

I even heard there's a town somewhere dedicated to Wobbuffet, but I haven't found it yet. It sounds so cool!

[Somehow, he doubts they'll run into any of those things, and now he's strangely a little disappointed.]

...How big a ball could that really even be?

Anyway, how do you know all of those? Did you go looking?

Well it was bigger than me- [He uses his free hand to estimate the size of the ball, well above his spiked hair.] -and I'm almost six feet tall.

[To Jack's second question, Larry shrugs.] Not really. I just bumped into them along the way. Sometimes there's road signs that lead you off the beaten path. It's those moments like on road trips when someone in the car goes, [He musters up the most fake excited voice he can.] "Ooh! I GOTTA see the historic corn museum!"

[Jack's eyes widen. That's a pretty big string ball. Wow.

Right. Right, Jack, be cool. No big deal, even if it does sound like it's seriously awesome.]

I've never been on a roadtrip, so I wouldn't know.

...Why would anyone build a corn museum?

[Larry's really amused that Jack sounds interested in these mundane attractions. He's been joking the whole time, but this kid actually looks like he'd want to check it out! He's not sure if that's funny or sad just yet.

He shrugs once again.]

Someone, somewhere out there, is a total corn aficionado and the builders are catering to them?

[The kid spends his spare time trying to break into Santa's Workshop. He's not the best judge of hobbies, let's face it.]

That's... weird.

I did visit this ice palace place once, though, somewhere up in Europe. Made sure they had a late spring that year, cause I can see why people would want to visit that.

[Wait, what was that? Larry knits his eyebrows.]

Whaddya mean you "made sure they had a late spring"?

Eh, just sent a cold front their way. Pretty minor one, since they're already so far north. Couple extra inches of snow, some frosty weather, and bam, late spring.

[Larry continues to state incredulously.]

... Okay but, that's not a normal thing people do. Are you supposed to be Jack Frost or something?

[He says that jokingly, but uh...about that, Larry.]

[About that, yeah... Jack just grins.]

[Larry just gapes in a, "are you kidding me right now?" fashion.]

Get out. C'mon man, even if this place humanizes everyone, you don't even look close to that weird elf dude!

[... Jack probably gets that a lot, doesn't he.]

[Yes. Yes, he does. All the time. He drops his head in defeat.]

That would be because I'm not a weird elf dude.

[Larry falls silent for a moment, regarding Jack with a serious look on his face. Eventually he cracks a smile.]

Y'know what? I'm glad you're not actually like that. You seem like a cool guy this way.

[That gets a chuckle as Jack eyes the screen in wary amusement.]

Yeah, I am pretty cool. That's true.
