WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO!

[Jack has his staff and his powers back. The mid-air loop-de-loops probably make that pretty obvious. As does the miniature snowstorm following him everywhere even in all this heat. Everything within 50 feet of him seems to have forgotten what season it’s supposed to be, which is just fine by him. That heat was too much for anyone, let alone a winter sprite.

Now that he can ride the wind again, he's using it to take him just about everywhere.

So, who’s up for a snowball fight???]

[ Akito lets out a quick peal of laughter, and rushes to make another snowball before Jack can retaliate. ]

Three rules!

No abilities, no ice, and stop if there's blood!

Well, it makes sense now.

Well, technically my entire village can commune with the winds in some way, but as a Priestess of the Wind, I have more of a connection with it.

[And it hits his face, because it's magical and therefore not of the human world. Or something.] Hey! Not fair! [But he can make those too, you know. It's not all lasers and eye beams. Have some back!]

[He'll just have to try harder later.]

The only reason I haven't killed that rodent is because watching him and the rabbit fight is amusing.

_{[Jack lets out a wily cackle and quickly dashes away. The snowball nails him in the back and only gets another laugh out of him. He sweeps his long arms down at the snow to pull up untidy gobs of snow to form return ammo.]

[It's kind of hard to make snowballs with skeleton hands.]}

Let's see what you can do, Jack Frost!

Yeah, yeah, keep telling yourself that. We'd just beat you again if you tried.

[It is so on.

A sweep of his staff makes a handy snow fort to hide behind before he plants it in a newly formed drift next to him and starts making his own snowballs. He's doing it the oldfashioned way, even, just to give Jack a fighting chance.

It's still a lot easier to do with proper hands, though. He pops up to throw the first one as hard as he can. He doubts much he could do would damage Jack, anyway.]

It's totally fair!

[It's been a while since he had a proper aerial snowfight. He was expecting the retaliation and already dodging away and up before he even thinks about it.]

That's pretty cool. A whole village, huh?

[Don't mind the touch of melancholy there. He'll get over it in a second. Just the idea of having so many people with the same power... well...]

Probably a whole village of winter spirits wouldn't be the best idea.

[Jack plants his hands on his hips, pretending to be put out.]

Rules? Who makes rules for a snowball fight?

You've got comics, too? [Those, Jack hasn't seen. They're more of an indoor-only sort of fun during the winter, after all.]

There would be no shortage of snow, I'm sure.

Nothing fun like what you got, but I'm just a super soldier, I'm the peak of human potential, not what people could actually achieve, but have the potential to. [or so he's told from all the tests]

[That just gets a bit of a chuckle.]

I somehow doubt you lot would really care about anything so long as it doesn't affect your precious little brats or yourselves.

In fact, getting rid of the groundhog would probably make that carrot stuffed moron happier because they wouldn't be fighting over who says when spring starts.

_{[While Jack doesn't really have time to build himself a wall to hunker behind, he does find a good tree. He's skinny enough it works. After forming his own snow balls, he leans around the tree in time to get beaned in the face.]

[The snow sticks in one eye socket and his nasal cavity. Half blinded, he lobs his own snowball.]}

That underestimating us thing worked out so well for you, didn't it? I can see why you'd go for that again. Don't fix it if ain't broke, huh?

Oh wait.

[Which also hits because Jack is busy staring. Maybe he was wrong about the damage thing? Or maybe that just looks really weird and it's fine.]

You, uh... you okay?

[It would just make him feel bad for a different reason. Best to forget it altogether.]

Exactly. Which would upset Mother Nature, and you do not want to get on her bad side.

[Oh, no. No WAY is he giving Akito another free one. Nope! He drops down to dodge that one, quickly gathering his own. Even when he's not deliberately using powers, he can't help the fact that snow just does what he wants it to, so his snowball is considerably more perfectly shaped than Akito's. He doesn't feel bad.]

Doesn't mean you're gonna win!

Equator, actually. [He shrugs.] I can get past it if I'm high enough, but the air feels weird there. Easier just to stay up by the pole. Bug the Yetis all the summer.

[You can hear his eyeroll.]

Whomever said I underestimated them? You were simply lucky to have the timing you did.

Huh. [Not all of those concepts make complete sense but he gets enough of it.]
