WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO!

[Jack has his staff and his powers back. The mid-air loop-de-loops probably make that pretty obvious. As does the miniature snowstorm following him everywhere even in all this heat. Everything within 50 feet of him seems to have forgotten what season it’s supposed to be, which is just fine by him. That heat was too much for anyone, let alone a winter sprite.

Now that he can ride the wind again, he's using it to take him just about everywhere.

So, who’s up for a snowball fight???]

[ Jack's not the only one who has wind-related abilities back. It's been far too long since Talim could properly commune with the wind, and it told her it had a passenger. She doesn't look as surprised to see him as she should ]

Jack! [ wavewavewave ] I didn't know you could ride the winds!

Talim! [He drops out of the wind current he was riding, catching himself on his own powers as it let him go.]

Among other things. [So far, the best part of today aside from the whole having his powers back thing, is seeing other sides to so many of his new friends.]

We've kinda got an understanding, I guess you could say.

So it was telling me. It appears people are getting all sort of abilities back.

What else can you do?

Yeah, I noticed. Some look a lot more fun than others. [With his own being the most fun of all, of course.]

But me, I can do all kinds of things. If it happens in the winter, I can probably do it. [Case in point, the snow clouds have caught up and begun gathering again, with just the first flurries starting to fall.] What about you?

Ah, I can speak to the winds again. [ SHE LOOKS SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS you have no idea ] It's like getting to talk to an old friend again after being separated for years.

Yeah... [He tightens his hold on his staff, just a bit.]

Maybe not years for me, yet, but it is pretty nice.

Mm. Yes. [ she reaches up to catch a falling snowflake, her smile never once wavering ]

I didn't realize you were some kind of winter spirit.

The name didn't clue you in?

[He grins, taking any sting out of the words.]

I didn't know you were a... what are you, anyway?

Well, it makes sense now.

Well, technically my entire village can commune with the winds in some way, but as a Priestess of the Wind, I have more of a connection with it.

That's pretty cool. A whole village, huh?

[Don't mind the touch of melancholy there. He'll get over it in a second. Just the idea of having so many people with the same power... well...]

Probably a whole village of winter spirits wouldn't be the best idea.

[ If it makes you feel better, she's the last Priestess of her people ]

There would be no shortage of snow, I'm sure.

[It would just make him feel bad for a different reason. Best to forget it altogether.]

Exactly. Which would upset Mother Nature, and you do not want to get on her bad side.

Most certainly not. Are you good friends with her?

Naw, not even close. We just kinda... know some of the same people, I guess? [He chuckles.] There aren't that many mythical beings around, where I'm from.
