Video 2: Being Human (Action for Cherrygrove City)
[Obviously, someone has been practicing. When the feed kicks on, it's a properly framed picture of one Jack Frost. He's set up camp in the woods fringing Cherrygrove City with a good view of the beach and a frolicking Seel in the background behind him. He also looks more cheerful and less confused than last time.
Oh, and the egg in his lap. That's new, too.]
So, everyone was awesome about answering my questions last time, now I've got more of them.
Cherrygrove is nice. Been here a couple days, now. [He gestures over his shoulder.] You can tell Phil likes it. Kind of got lost on the way here, yeah, yeah, I know it's a straight line, okay, and Phil is about as slow as slow can be, but now that I'm here, I've got this guy. [He pokes at the egg. It's blue and white and people in the know might recognize it as a Pachirisu egg. Jack is not in the know.] Or girl. How do you tell?
For that matter, what do I do with it? Am I supposed to keep it warm? Someone mentioned a deal for new people just showing up, and that's totally me, so I, uh... just kind of hit buttons until I saw something that sounded good, but now I'm thinking that wasn't the best idea?
[He takes a second to glance over his shoulder, probably to make sure his Seel hadn't been eaten by a shark in the last few minutes or anything. If nothing else, this place seems to be teaching him a really strange sense of responsibility. If only Bunny could see him now.
He resettles, placing the gear on the ground in front of him so it can pick up a full body shot, including the sneakers he wasn't wearing before.]
Okay, second question, and... I know how crazy this sounds, but at least some of you weren't human before getting here, right? Pretty sure I've met one already. [Again, unless Thor's parents had some ridiculous delusions of grandeur.] So the question is- how do you stand it? Not the being here, that's turning out pretty cool, but the rest of it. All the getting hungry, and tired, and walking everywhere, not to mention buying stuff. Am I gonna have to get a- [shudder] -job?

He looks down at the egg still in his lap.]
Does that mean I have to stick around here? I mean, it's nice and all, but I've already been here for a couple days, and sitting around gets old.
video;
[OMG. Look at her light up.]
I thought you went to sleep or something when it got to be spring. Like a bear.
[Moving on.]
I think you can move around? I take my egg places and it seems pretty okay with it. The shell's really hard, if you knock on it.
video;
Okay, play it cool, Jack. Play it cool. She just recognized you. No big.]
Sometimes. Usually I just go farther north. Bug the yetis or something.
[He'll skip the knocking, thanks, but look at the egg in a new light.] As long as I won't hurt it. The backpack seems pretty safe, though. [And bigger than it should be, from all the stuff that fit in it.]
video;
That makes sense.
[She nods, completely believing him. Because why wouldn't she? He's Jack Frost. Come on now.]
If you have a spare hoodie, you could put it in that. That's what I did with mine, see?
[She reaches offscreen into her own bag, retrieving a blue and tan egg snuggled up securely in a light gray mass of cloth.]
video;
He does totally have extra clothes, now she mentions it. And they're hideous, so he'll absolutely never wear them. Win-win!]
Huh. Good idea. I'll do that. [He leans over to drag his own bag closer right now. The shirt he pulls out seems to be... a schoolboy shirt? Yeah, definitely never wearing that.] Your egg is different colors than mine. Are they all different?
video;
[She reaches offscreen again, and this time when she comes back up, it's with a very merry-looking Pichu, who waves.]
Taser's egg was all yellow when she was still in it. And she's all yellow now, see?
video;
So if you know enough about the different kinds, you can figure out what the eggs are. Makes sense.
video;
[Granted, doing this involves actually moving the Gear, so the camera angle goes a little awry at this point, but the audio maintains; there's a bit of clicking, and then suddenly: ]
"PICHU, the TINY MOUSE Pokemon. It plays with others by touching tails and setting off sparks. This appears to be a test of courage."
video;
[He totally hadn't meant to, though, so it was probably for the best that no one was there to see it. There was a lot of button mashing.]
video;
video;
video;
video;
Okay, that's awesome.
[Of course, it would be better if it was ice, but it was still cool.]
video;
[She laughs.]
video;
[A quick glance around to make sure Phil isn't listening.] Don't get me wrong, I like Phil. He's a great guy... thing. Just, you know, not exactly the most intimidating.
[It's hard to be intimidating when you're round and fuzzy and perpetually smiling. Almost like North, really.
And little does Jack know that his mun has plans for his team, oh yes~ Plans that may or may not involve a Magikarp in his very near future~]video;
[Not exactly hard to do, considering her starter was a DEMON-EYED FLAMING DEVIL HORSE.]
video;
[Jack doesn't like fire pokemon. It's kind of a gut reaction thing. Probably for the best all around he doesn't know her starter, then.]
video;
video;
[Is this a thing he needs to worry about? Cause he's already got plenty of other new things, so evil pokemon? Not at the top of his list.]
video;
[This is why it's cool to have friends with big punchy fists.]
video;
video;
video;
Did you like lose a lottery or something?
video;
video;
[If it's evil, she probably can't even ride it majestically or anything.]
...Phil is pretty amazing, though.
