[When the feed turns on, it's immediately obvious that Jack is excited about something. He's practically bouncing, and if he had his powers, he'd definitely be in the air by now. Instead, he has to settle for grinning at the feed.]
Okay. This? This is the best thing ever!
[He turns the gear around to find Phil the Seel looking surprisingly smug for a Seel.]
Okay, Phil. Let's go. Show 'em your new trick.
[Even off-camera, the excitement in Jack's voice is obvious. And contagious, from the sound Phil makes as he shifts to face a large tree that has apparently been used for target practice this morning. As he concentrates, a block of ice starts to form just in front of his horn before he launches it at the tree where it shatters spectacularly. Somebody is learning Ice Shard, apparently.
Jack comes back in the shot with a whoop. You can almost see the gears turning as Jack thinks of all the things he can do with Phil's new talents.]
How awesome is that? He'll be making snowballs in no time.
((OOC: In case you'relame clueless unused to Pokemon like I am, Phil's Ice Shard is similar to the Mamoswine's here. Less powerful, obviously, but he's still learning.))

Date: 2013-05-08 10:13 pm (UTC)So you are one of these people who take thousands of pictures of their pets and then post them to networks.... well, whatever you like, I guess.
[Wait, cooler?]
...are you going to teach your Pokemon how to lower the temperature of its ice attacks?
Date: 2013-05-08 11:54 pm (UTC)What? No, why-
[He pauses, then glances at Phil.]
Could he do that?
Date: 2013-05-09 11:50 pm (UTC)I would imagine he could? That would make sense if an Ice-type Pokemon's ice got colder as the Pokemon grew stronger... but I haven't been here long enough to have anything to back this theory up, so I wouldn't take my word for it if I were you... You should ask people who have trained Ice-types for a long time.
Date: 2013-05-10 01:05 am (UTC)Yeah, I will. Hey, thanks. If that's actually possible, I'll need to try it.
Date: 2013-05-13 06:41 pm (UTC)[Oh, there was something...]
You'd better ask other people to clarify but I heard that there's a move Ice-type Pokemon can learn that is so cold that the oponent stands no chance. If you ask me, it's quite cruel...
Date: 2013-05-13 08:45 pm (UTC)-Seel!-
Right! And I'll get more on my own, don't worry. The offer's nice, though.
And yeah, somebody mentioned that. I think they called it Blizzard or something.
Date: 2013-05-20 09:55 pm (UTC)[The video shifts to the piglet Pokemon and his full bowl. It doesn't take him long to empty it.]
Blizzard, huh... Maybe that's how it was called but I can't shake off the feeling that it was something... Colder.
[OHKO move, thy name is Sheer Cold]
Date: 2013-05-21 04:12 pm (UTC)I'll keep that in mind, thanks.
[The rest, though... He glances at Phil.]
Well... I don't really want to hurt anybody, just have fun with it. So if it's any colder than Blizzard, I don't know if it's what we're looking for. I'll look out for it, though.
